Basic Functions
The Parts Advisor position is critical to the success of the
dealership, and particularly the service department. The position requires an
individual who is detailed and has excellent phone skills and customer service
skills. In addition, the Parts Advisor must be able to work independent, and as
a team. The Parts Advisor must strive to ensure every customer has a positive
experience and that he/she has used all of his /her resources to assist the
customer (external and internal).
Responsibilities

Sell parts and accessories to meet monthly
forecasts (only sell what the customer needs) • Issue parts and accessories to
technicians in a timely manner

Work closely with all team members to achieve
dealership goals • Solicit customers for parts and accessories sales using
phone, direct mail, etc.

Package and ship parts to the Chrysler return
center as necessary and complete the appropriate paper
·
Track incoming and outgoing parts
·
Maintain parts display in parts and service area
·
Utilize parts systems to procure parts in a
timely manner
·
Follow up with customers on parts order in a
timely manner
·
Maintain special order parts bin
·
Maintain customer back order file
·
Deliver parts to customers (retail, wholesale,
etc.) as needed
·
Process all parts invoices and related paper
work in a timely manner
Qualification Requirements
·
Good computer skills
·
Must have a current driver's license
·
Ability to work overtime as needed
·
Excellent customer service skills
Education
·
Degree required, but a plus
Experience
·
2 years' experience preferred with new car
dealerships, but not required
·
Wholesale parts experience a plus
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently; require sitting for
extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and
stooping.
